Rossj-Bass, produs prima oara in 1988, are in componenta struguri ce provin din 3 zone diferite, Barolo, Barbaresco si Serralunga d’Alba. Podgoria Rossj, ce poarta numele celei mai tinere fiice a cuplului Angelo si Lucia Gaja, este situata in zona Bricco (satul Barbaresco), fiind plantata in 1984. Via Bass, de asemenea plantata in 1984, se afla in zona Pozzo (satul Barolo). Suprafata totala de 7ha se afla la altitudini diferite: Rossj la 300m, Bass la 260m si cea din Serralunga la 400m.
