 Solaia este o parcelă de viţă de vie, cu o expoziţie sud-vestică, aflată la o altitudine între 350 şi 400 de metri, cu o compoziţie a solului interesantă, formată din “alberese” (calcar dur) şi “galestro” (şisturi). Via este exploatată de cramaTignanello. Primul vin produs de Familia Antinori de pe această plantaţie a fost recolta anului 1978, iar asamblajul iniţial a fost de 80% Cabernet Sauvignon şi 20% Cabernet Franc, “reţeta” folosită şi în 1979. Ulterior, în asamblaj a fost introdus şi un procent de 20% de Sangiovese, recalibrându-se astfel procentele de Cabernet Sauvignon şi Cabernet Franc. Solaia este produs doar în anii cu recolte excepţionale şi nefiind produs în 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984 şi 1992.
