La Chapelle, proprietatea care produce cel mai reprezentativ vin al casei Jaboulet, a intrat în posesia familiei în anul 1919. Hermitage “La Chapelle” este un cupaj de terroir-uri, incluzând faimoasele dealuri Meal È™i Bessards. Fiecare parcelă vine cu propriile caracteristici aromatice, alături de structura elegantă de tanin ce oferă vinului un potenÈ›ial îndelungat de învechire.
ÃŽncepand cu legendarul vin din 1961, care a fost clasificat ca unul dintre cele 12 vinuri mitice ale secolului XX, Hermitage “La Chapelle” a devenit unul dintre cele mai căutate vinuri ale lumii.
Vinul este realizat din 100% Syrah provenit din vițe vechi, cu vârste între 40 si 60 de ani, ce oferă randamente scăzute de 10-18 hl/ha. Strugurii sunt culeși manual de pe culmile înalte din Hermitage, iar maturarea ține 15-18 luni în butoaie din lemn franțuzesc.
