Hans Herzog Family Estate este o cramă de familie care deține și un restaurant, susținută de o echipă unică de persoane care împărtășesc aceleași valori: pasiune pentru vin și mâncare, angajament pentru excelență și calitate. După cum sugerează și numele, rădăcinile vinificatorului Hans Herzog se află în Elveția, unde familia cultivă viță-de-vie încă din anul 1630. Acolo, Hans și Therese dețineau podgoria și restaurantul de succes „Taggenberg” din Zurich. Căutând o nouă provocare, la mijlocul anilor 1990 au plantat o podgorie de 11,5 ha pe malurile râului Wairau în Marlborough și mai târziu au mutat aici crama și restaurantul deținător de stele Michelin. Au adus cu ei filozofia lor de artizani ai vinului și Hans a adoptat o atitudine experimentalistă, cultivând o gamă eclectică de soiuri de struguri din care realizează an de an vinuri de excepție.
